This demonstration shows how to enable factory remote start on a Holden VE Commodore.
This modification is suitable ONLY for V8 AUTOMATIC vehicles from MY2009.5 and newer.
This programming requires purchasing a factory remote start key (Part Number 92237315) as this key has the require remote start button.
There are 5 main steps to follow for enabling remote start:
1) Select Remote Start Enabled in the Body Control Module (BCM) and click write.
2) Select Remote Start Enabled in the Immobiliser (Immo) and click write.
3) Select Remote Start On for the Remote Actuator Function (RFA) and click write.
4) In the RFA menu, go to the learn function tab and perform the Learn Central Locking option to relearn all of the vehicles key FOBs including the new remote start FOB.
5) Using the vehicles steering wheel controls, go into the isntrument clusters customize menu, scroll to security, then to Remote Start, and select that to enabled.
Once completed, you can then remote start by clicking the lock button once and then hold the remote start button.
Finally, if there are any fault codes in the vehicle, this will prevent the car from remote starting.
Also note that the AIRCON/HEATER DOES NOT turn on when the vehicle is remote started, so it will not heat or cool the inside of the vehicle.
